This Cookie Policy explains how InvoiceFlow uses cookies and related browser web storage technologies when you use our website and free invoice generator. We believe in strict technical honesty: we only describe technologies that are genuinely implemented in our application.
1. What Are Cookies and Browser Web Storage?
HTTP Cookies are small text fragments that a web server can instruct a web browser to store on your device. Web Storage (LocalStorage) is a modern, high-performance HTML5 browser capability that allows web applications to retain key-value data directly on your local device without repeatedly sending that data to a remote web server on every HTTP request.
2. How InvoiceFlow Uses Browser Storage
InvoiceFlow relies on your browser's local storage (localStorage) strictly for essential and functional user conveniences:
- Invoice Draft Preservation (
invoiceflow_draft): When you click "Save Draft" in the generator, your current line items, customer details, and invoice numbers are stored in your browser's local storage. This enables you to return to the website later and restore your progress without re-typing your invoice from scratch. - Customization Preferences (
invoiceflow_settings): When you choose an invoice template (such as Classic or Corporate), an accent color, a custom font, or spacing density, this preference is saved locally so that future invoices automatically load your preferred branding aesthetic.
localStorage stays on your physical computer or mobile device.
3. Third-Party Tracking & Advertising Cookies
In our current implementation:
- We do not set cross-site tracking cookies.
- We do not use third-party data broker analytics cookies.
- We do not run commercial advertising tracking scripts or behavioral remarketing pixels.
If analytics or advertising technologies are evaluated or deployed in future releases, this Cookie Policy will be updated to explicitly state the exact provider names, cookie lifetimes, and provide clear opt-out controls.
4. Third-Party Resource CDNs
To ensure optimal performance, our application loads select static resources from reputable public Content Delivery Networks (CDNs):
- Google Fonts: Loads the Inter typography stylesheets and font files. Google's font delivery network operates under Google's standard privacy guidelines.
- CDNJS / Cloudflare: Used to load the open-source client-side PDF compilation library (
html2pdf.js) dynamically when you click "Download PDF".
5. How to Manage, Inspect, or Clear Your Storage
Because InvoiceFlow stores your drafts and settings locally in your browser, you retain total control over this data at all times. You can inspect or clear it using your web browser's built-in tools:
- Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge: Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data, or press
F12to open Developer Tools, navigate to the Application tab, expand Local Storage, and delete any entries. - Mozilla Firefox: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data.
- Apple Safari: Go to Preferences / Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data, search for the domain, and select Remove.
- Inside the InvoiceFlow Application: Clicking the "Clear Form" button in the generator toolbar wipes the current invoice state.
6. Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect technological changes or new functional capabilities. Any changes will be posted directly to this page with an updated revision date.
